Allow the Marvelous

“Allow yourself the pleasure of what unfolds . . .”

“. . . it is good to ask ourselves why we’re doing this.  What’s the purpose?  What’s the value of this?  Remind yourself you are here QuantumThinking to have something happen in your life, something unpredictable and marvelous—something splendid and even majestic.  Why not live in that Intent?” ― Dianne Collins, Do You QuantumThink?026Why must everything be such a struggle?  Because I think that’s the way it must be.  Can I “allow for what unfolds?”  Can I allow and watch the “blossoming” – be “surprised and pleased” with what shows up?  Stop the struggle; enjoy the fruit?  Yes; please yes.  Thank You.

Epiphanies and Delight

Epiphany: noun \i-ˈpi-fə-nē\ – “a moment in which you suddenly see or understand something in a new or very clear way – Merriam Webster dictionary.”

lightbulb-clipart-blue-and-black-light-bulb-mdEpiphanies don’t happen often. It’s thought they’re the result of significant deliberations on particular issues or topics.  Wikipedia says “they are triggered by a new and key piece of information, but importantly, a depth of prior knowledge is required to allow the leap of understanding.”  Because they’re rare, they can take people by surprise.

Robert had an epiphany a week ago – what a difference for our conversations! I had an epiphany yesterday – made me giddy with delight!

The “Intent” of the Observer creates reality.  Me: the Observer – creates my reality.  This means, as Dianne Collins says in Do You QuantumThink?, that “if you are not getting the result you want, you can create a new Intent, and you will alter the result.”  Of course we have to “become aware of the interpretations and conclusions that are already present, causing the predictable outcome.”  When we do and have that awareness, we have choice.

Ms. Collins points out that “creating from Intent is not ‘positive thinking.’ Positive thinking is something like trying to cover over a thought you believe is ‘the way it is’ with another thought that amounts to wishful thinking. Creating from Intent is a totally different domain. It means you realize as Werner Heisenberg and many other scientists and sages have realized: reality is not absolute; reality is alive and being created all the time by virtue of the way we relate to it, by what we bring to it.”

Incredibly excited to see what I bring to this new understanding.Wyoming rainbow

It Is Going To Happen

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Moving right along with my E-Squared experiments as designed by Pam Grout. Results are – well, interesting. Robert asked me today about Experiment #6 – what if none of it grows?  Experiment growing

“The Theory:  Your Thoughts and consciousness impact matter.”
“The Question:  Is it possible to affect the physical world with my attention?”
“The Hypothesis:  If I focus my attention on a row of green bean seeds, I can make them sprout faster.”

Experiment #2 – didn’t see my “yellow butterfly.” Experiment #3 – had to fall back on “communication” to get the magic to happen. Experiment #4 – no “clear” answer to my query. My batting average is pretty paltry. Am I discouraged?  No . . no way!  Dianne Collins, in her book Do You Quantum Think? says:

“Despite the fact that “seekers” seek “the truth,” whether something is the truth or not seems to be an appropriately “questionable” question, given that our world is creative, always in flux and Observer-created to boot. Perhaps a more valuable question to ask is: Does it work? What will work now? Does QuantumThink work in your life? You are the sole determiner of the response to that question.”

“You are the sole determiner of the response to that question.”  I choose yes. Yes it works, I believe; I feel it in my bones; in the air around me. My life is full of energy events. Won’t be deterred by my sorry E-Squared results. Besides, I’m not giving up. So we are growing onions in an egg carton, not green beans; (beans being scarce for the winter gardener). This is the world I choose to manifest. Besides, as Ms. Collins asks:

“What if all of us could become masterful co-creators of our reality by thinking in a way more consistent with natural law? What if this really works? . . it is going to happen. You are going to evolve. The question is, will it happen through crisis awakening or conscious awakening? Are you going to wait for the universal force to do its thing and wallop you over the head one more time, or do you want to do it consciously and become a Wake-up instead of a mere grown-up?”

Well – Experiment #1 worked; I (my car) got the “wallop over the head” to Wake-up. Don’t need a repeat. Just need to trust – have faith; believe my intuition, my knowing.  Italy - Vatican

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes … they push the human race forward … because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ― Steve Jobs, co-founder Apple (quoted by Dianne Collins)

Words – and Golden Handcuffs

The language of Henry David Thoreau’s Waldon is lyrical and poetic – not my usual reading style; concentration required. His famous line: “the mass of men lead lives of quiet Raven Cliffs 2011 (27)desperation” drew me outside my comfort zone. The line resonates. Why? Could be that I know “quiet desperation.”  Happily I also know I’m so NOT willing to sit in its grip. What makes so many so desperate? And why won’t they do anything about it? Thoreau says:

“Public opinion is a weak tyrant compared with our own private opinion. What a man thinks of himself, that it is which determines, or rather indicates, his fate.”

My recent self-reflection feels this philosophy.  Acknowledging my need for boundaries and taking action; getting conked on the head to “wake-up” from my mechanical negative thoughts both influenced how I see myself – and what I think of myself. Since then, a few “public opinions” didn’t faze me as I showed up with Intent and self-awareness. How flippin’ cool is that?!!

“All change is a miracle to contemplate; but it is a miracle which is taking place every instant. Confucius said, “To know that we know what we know, and that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge.”

We don’t know what we don’t know. True knowledge accepts this; I am more willing to open my mind and my heart when I acknowledge this. After our basic needs are met – Thoreau asks:

“When a man is warmed . . . what does he want next? Surely not more warmth of the same kind, as more and richer food, larger and more splendid houses, finer and more abundant clothing, more numerous, incessant, and hotter fires, and the like. When he has obtained those things which are necessary to life, there is another alternative than to obtain the superfluities; and that is, to adventure on life now, his vacation from humbler toil having commenced.”

Some people will rise up and “adventure on life” – the rest will live with desperation. What makes them cling to something incredibly uncomfortable?

WORDS –the mass of men who are discontented, and idly complaining of the hardness of their lot or of the times, when they might improve them. There are some who complain most energetically and inconsolably of any, because they are, as they say, doing their duty.

GOLDEN HANDCUFFS –I also have in my mind that seemingly wealthy, but most terribly impoverished class of all, who have accumulated dross, but know not how to use it, or get rid of it, and thus have forged their own golden or silver fetters.” – Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Stop with the negative; wake-up to idle complaints, mechanical and dutiful thinking; take action – this is something I can, and will do.  Oh, those “golden or silver fetters” though – not so easy to dump the dross!  All that “stuff” is the illusion of security.  Without it I would do … what?  Be courageous?  Fly?  Maybe I would fly. Currahee 11

Positive and Negative – same coin, different sides

2006 Cruize 024There was a time I wouldn’t download a song to my iPod that had a “negative” vibe.  Only positive, uplifting songs for this girl.  Completely unsustainable.  I can’t avoid stuff by only allowing the good in – refusing to consider the shadow world. I don’t want to be an ostrich with my head in the sand; but whoa, there’s a whole lotta nasty junk out there.  What’s the right balance?  Today’s daily inspiration from Martha Beck touched a chord:

“Treat your heart like a tired, hurt child: Accept its tantrums, revenge fantasies, and pity parties, but don’t get stuck in them. Say kind things to yourself: “It’s okay that you love your goldfish more than your in-laws” or “Of course you want to stab Billy’s third-grade teacher with a meat fork—all the moms do.” When you acknowledge your forbidden feelings calmly, you’ll find that you actually have more control over your actions. It’s when feelings are repressed that they burst out in dangerous, unhealthy ways.”  Martha Beck ~ Set it Free

Don’t repress; acknowledge and accept those feelings: “Don’t get stuck in them.” Living a conscious life doesn’t mean I forbid myself to look around me.  I may prefer my rose-colored glasses, but sometimes a sad song is the only thing my heart wants to hear.  My life won’t become a blazing hell if I acknowledge my wicked sense of humor, or admit that I’ve lived the dark night of my soul.  Thank you Dianne Collins for pointing out:

“. . . the idea here is for you to look for yourself, personally.  What are you filling your consciousness with?  What are you broadcasting?  When you develop mastery with your own mind, it isn’t that you have to avoid the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Enjoy the thrill of blockbuster blow-ups, crashes, and shoot ‘em ups if that’s what turns you on.  It is that you do not have to have your consciousness hijacked by it.  Wake-ups are hip to what’s going on, in themselves and around them.  An awakened consciousness is more powerful than programming.  Dianne Collins ~ Do You QuantumThink?

No running necessary.  Simply develop and master my own mind; stay aware; awake – and believe.
